Notes:
"Joe" Taylor was the primary "keeper" of the cemetery
for many years. He handled the business of plots & the
map records as well as used his tractor to dig and cover
the graves. He ran the Taylor family farm (located on
Baker Road n. of Tooze). The hill descending toward the
creek and Sherwood was referred to as the "Joe Taylor
Hill", since the sharp corner and the odd bank of the
turn made it especially tricky in ice or snow. Many
motorists ended up in the ditch in front of Joe's
farmhouse, and Joe used his tractor to pull out the
cars.
