Mother's Contribution: Born in
Portland, Oregon on Jan. 1, 1974. Father: Kelvin Garth Staven,
Mother: Barbara Louise Edmonds. Travis worked with his mother and
step-dad in their excavating business and passed away on one of their jobs in
1999 along the banks of the Willamette River, under the Sellwood Bridge where
there is a bronze plaque and benches in his memory. He graduated from
Sherwood High School where he played both football and baseball. He had
several friends there who still visit him today, leaving mementos for his mother
