Joseph J. Day, late of 7005 SE Carlton, died in Portland Feb 19, and funeral services were held Feb. 22 in Young's Chapel.  Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  The services were in charge of Beaverton Lodge No. 100, AF & AM.
 
Pall bearers were Raymond Williams, Henry Vuehner, Walter Barnes, Thornton Smith, Fred Powell, Jr., Delbert White, Kurt Pederson and Vincent Uhig, Honorary pall bearers were Harry Crist and William Kinney.
 
Mr. Day was born in Tualatin Feb 10, 1909. He was a bookkeeper.  He was a member of Jerome Lodge No. 61, AF & AM, in Idaho.  Surviving are the widow, Katrine, of Portland, and a sister, Hazel, of Portland.
